WprowadzenieFor our Client, a large international multi-business corporation operating in several continents we are looking for Logistics Terminal Managing Director, an experienced logistics professional in their subsidiary based in Poland (Szczecin/ Świnoujście/ Police)
ObowiązkiMajor responsibilities: to develop business; manage employees, operations, financial budget, capital expenditures. The ideal candidate must be able to make decisions and work independently. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong commercial, international trade experience is required.

Summary:

• Plant Operations and Customer Service: Oversee and manage the export/import terminal facility, maximize plant efficiencies, and control expenses.
• Creation and management of annual operating budgets: develop recommendations and submissions regarding capital requirements and monitor operating statements, initiate improvement and/or corrective actions as required and provide Sr. management with appropriate advice/reports regarding operational issues, problems and concerns.
• Capital expenditure planning: review and monitor to meet company standards and stay within approved spending limits.
• Employee Supervision: Develop or participate in the development of and conduct performance management practices which include ongoing coaching and feedback, conduct formal and informal performance evaluations, create and implement appropriate staff training and development opportunities and requirements, manage hiring, promotion and termination processes.
• Manage vessel tug, barge switching and fleeting operations.
• Manage full vessel, barge and rail multi-car logistics. Ensure the added value-services such as intermodal logistics, co-packing , cross-docking, private labelling etc.
• Ensure timely and efficient product loading / unloading (full vessels, rail, truck, barge).
• Coordination with rail carriers on delivery of product (minimize of rail demurrage).
• Maximize sales opportunities- keep contacts with major market players including commodities trading companies, major international production companies operating mostly in food, chemicals, beverage, retail sectors.
• Work with sales, marketing, and supply to increase market share with both new and existing accounts. Work with third party contractual agreements and develop third parties income options.
• Implement, maintain and monitor Environmental Health Safety programs to meet all corporate and governmental regulations surrounding the Terminal location.
• Provide a safe and environmentally sound working environment for our terminal employees.
• Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
OczekiwaniaRequirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Agriculture, Life Sciences
• 8+ years’ experience in a managerial position in a terminal or logistics agency in a leadership capacity
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office skills preferred
• Strong mechanical and maintenance aptitude with ability to trouble shoot machinery maintenance, repair and overhaul, and supervise, control costs of internal and external mechanical services.
• Strong organizational and communication skills,
• Strong commercial skills, experience in commodities trade and/or logistics services at a Commercial Manager / Director post would be an asset.
