Our client is a leader in the food and beverage space. The company has seen a large shift from individually working with brands to centralizing the procurement team to leverage commodity spend around the group. Now are looking for Commodity Manager for Coffee & Ingr.
They are looking for a strong leader to manage a team, create and drive commodity procurement process as well as category plans.They key purpose of the newly created Commodity Manager for Coffee and ingredients is to provide improved visibility and analysis of key commodity cost drivers within the companies supply chain which delivers improved commercial and sourcing value, increased ability to forward manage financial and supply chain risk management for all brands.
You will need to demonstrate your ability to:

• Understand, source, analyze and provide guidance from key commodity market reports from various sources, the company’s supply base and their key commodity supply chain cost driver base.
• Develop structured, strategic, robust and formal commodity strategy’s that drive a greater understanding of the company commercial and supply base to provide a consolidated view and strategy
• Present insights in such a manner that supports the Procurement’s overall strategic approach at delivering value whilst mitigating on-going risks based on their view of future market outlooks
• Support the Procurement functions strategic sourcing agenda to deliver on-going value including the development of category strategies, category spend and supply market analysis across multiple brands and spend category’s whilst delivering solutions that mitigate commodity risk ensuring that the company manages extreme volatility in commodities
• Liaise with key commodity base suppliers and service providers to ensure that the supply chain is as stable as possible, so that there is no risk of supply chain failure but also to drive stability to limit value outcomes that adversely affect budget compliance
• Lead and educate Procurement to ensure the creation of category strategies are relevant and reflect the key commodities drivers that exist such as - Coffee, Corn/Soy/Palm/ Starch/Wheat/Flour, Milk/Dairy, Proteins, Oil/Logistics/Energy, Cocoa, Sugar
• Track distributor commodity management performance and manage expectations of all parties, e.g: energy, oil/fuel levy etc
The successful candidate in this role will have a strategic view of commodity procurement and have previous experience in the commodities described. You will take an analytical view to markets and working with suppliers and be able to identify areas of savings inefficiencies in the business. A self starter, you will be able to show you can be:
