Our client is a leading food producer with several factories operating in Europe and belongs to one of the biggest food international group world-wide.
ResponsibilitiesThe company is successfully operating since many years in many countries and providing high quality branded as well as private label products through the biggest retail chains operating in whole Europe, CIS countries and America. The wide range of company products are developed and produced conforming to highest quality standards, market trends, regional cuisine insights, and thus meet demanding consumer needs and are recognized for its highest quality. The company is offering a production capacity that aloud to supply the largest retail operators in Europe. The Logistics / supply chain specialist based in the company’s CEE trade office in Warsaw will be responsible for planning and executing shipments to/from multiple manufacturing facilities, co-packers, raw material/packaging suppliers, third-party logistic service providers, and customer warehouses. The jobholder will participate in numerous supply chain management, market analysis/ insight projects requiring co-operation with company’s production planning, marketing and logistics key team members based in several locations of the region, as well as their correspondents at the client side (buyers, category managers, marketing professionals etc.). The role requires understanding of export and procurement procedures, ability to ensure proper merchandise flow between factories, central depos and retail facilities in several countries of the region including CIS countries. The role objective is also to ensure that transportation service and logistics cost objectives are met.


• Prepare operating dispatch plans in compliance with sales and marketing departments as well as with the factories.
• Monitor stocks and to ensure that the products are delivered in the shortest and most effective way from the factories to its destination.
• Optimize shipments balancing service and cost considering schedules, freight mix, equipment constraints, etc.
• Track shipments from to delivery managing issues and notifying impacted parties of any problems.
• Issue invoices, monitor payments, reconcile freight invoices to ensure accuracy and alignment with Cost Accounting.
• First point of contact for claim process for delivery discrepancies.
• Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly KPI reporting and analysis.
• Participate to market/insight analysis, gathering and process data from the retail networks, co-operate with Key account managers, marketing and production departments in different locations. Suggest solutions and business strategies in local markets.
• Negotiate freight rates, accessorial charges, and service requirements with brokers/carriers.
Requirements Requirements:

• Strong computer skills needed, specifically knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of both EU and non-EU regulations and experience in the transportation food industry.
• At least 3-4 years of experience in logistics / supply chain of food products (i.e. green products, bakery, dairy, fish, meat, frozen products, etc.).
• Experience in exports and dealing with modern trade.
• Fluency in English and good command of German language is mandatory. Russian will be a plus.
• Readiness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
